Martin Bate
Attwater & Sons Ltd Finance Director Martin Bate has spoken of his debt of gratitude to the company he joined more than a quarter of a century ago when he started as Company Accountant.
He had previously worked in the Financial Planning Department of Bradford & Bingley Building Society, and had also worked for Philips and the Inland Revenue prior to that.

Attwater's technical manager Matt D’Arcy has joined a committee judging a prestigious international award.
The John Neal Award is given annually by the European Electrical Insulation Manufacturers (EEIM) in memory of one of its founding members.

A memorial lecture is to be given in April to honour a man who was a respected authority in the electrical insulation industry.
Tom Eland, who passed away in December 2013, not only worked for Attwater & Sons Ltd for over 46 years but also represented the UK on IEC International Standards committees and was vice chairman of the EEIM the European trade association representing European Electrical Insulation Manufacturers.

Attwater Upgrades High Voltage Test Facility
Manufacturing company Attwater & Sons Ltd has invested in an upgrade to its high voltage testing facility which will allow the team to put all its materials through their paces.
A new oil tank has been installed that can be configured to run a variety of tests, including maximum voltage capable and sustained voltage without failure, with a peak voltage of 100kV as standard going up to 200kV where required.

Industrial laminate specialist Attwater & Sons Ltd has reformulated its popular B42 epoxy cotton fabric-based laminate to comply with revised REACH regulations, and now the product is even more effective than before.
The Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & restriction of CHemicals (REACH) board added DDM to its candidate list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs), and Attwater quickly moved to address the issue.

Attwater is mourning the loss of one of its stalwarts after technical director Tom Eland passed away in December following a short illness.
Tom joined Attwater at the age of 16, in 1967 and spent the whole of his 46 year career with the company, becoming a director in 1988.

Established in 2010, the show has grown year on year and this time more than 12,000 visitors came through its doors over the two days.

A Bafta nominated lighting cameraman has approached Custom Composites for carbon fibre tubes to use as a super-lightweight alternative to aluminium rig rods.
These rig rods are used on shoulder supported TV cameras to attach accessories such as filters, monitors, follow-focus or a matte box. They need to be strong and light.

Attwater apprentice Kevin Brown has peddled his way to a bumper cheque for Derian House Children’s Hospice.
The maintenance engineer cycled a 120-mile route between Morecambe, on the west coast, to Whitby, on the east. He smashed his target time: aiming to complete the ride in less than 7 hours, he managed to finish in just 6.
